12-year-old Cristina lives in a remote region of Moldova, where she has to largely fend for herself. Thanks to a combination of youthful creativity and a clever business idea, the young girl soon finds herself her village's primary employer. This allows her to provide for her younger brothers - and to pay for her parents, forced to work for low wages in other countries, to return home...

A moving, poetic and compelling story, both tragic and funny, about a childhood both on the edge and at the heart of Europe.

Director Daria Onyshchenko
Screenplay Michaela Ronzoni

Based on the novel „Kinderland“ by Liliana Corobca

A co-production of WHee Film (Austria), Dreifilm (Germany), Microfilm (Romania) and Youbesc (Moldova)

Hidden in the garment is a small note. With a cry for help. From a complete stranger, living in a slum area in Bangladesh. And from that moment on nothing is as it used to be for Bärbel Schmitz...

Annie Breuer, a single mother in her mid-thirties, has better and worse days. On the better days she is clearly the best mommy in the world for her two children. But on the worse days a dark shadow falls over her soul. When it almost seems as if Annie simply can't cope with life's various hurdles, she suddenly receives help from an unexpected source - and two old proverbs come true. Firstly: Humor is the button that can prevent us from bursting our collars. And secondly: It takes a whole village (in this case an old Viennese apartment building with a motley crew of residents) to raise a child (or two)...

A warm-hearted and at the same time rather quirky comedy about all kinds of people you'd like to have as neighbors…even if you'd sometimes rather shoot some of them straight to the moon..

Written and directed by Rupert Henning
Cast Martina Ebm, Neda Rahmanian, Safira Robens, Rainer Egger, Hanno Koffler, Marcel Mohab and many more

A production by WHee Film and Gebhardt Productions for ORF and MDR

The rider on the white horse

Copyright: © ZDF / Anke Neugebauer

This new film adaptation of Theodor Storm's most famous novella is set in the 21st century and addresses the major challenges posed by climate change, rising sea levels and the threat of flooding facing the population on the North Frisian coast. Hauke Haien, who is responsible for coastal protection, calls for a radical rethink. But the people, whose ancestors have wrested land from the sea with their dykes for centuries, realize too late that Hauke will be right with his warnings...

A classic of German-language literature - interpreted in a modern and highly topical way...

Director Francis Meletzky

Tatort - You'll never get us!

Copyright: © ORF / Fabio Eppensteiner

Present day. In the middle of the government district of Vienna. After a demonstration. A young man lies dead on the street. When the investigation team from the Federal Criminal Police Office arrives, it quickly becomes clear that in this case the line between victims and perpetrators cannot be drawn as clearly as usual. Did the young demonstrator die in the crush during the clearing of the square? Was a member of the police possibly responsible? Or was the young guy deliberately murdered? On one of the flyers lying around everywhere, a single sentence is written in white block letters on a red background: "YOU’LL NEVER GET US!"

This film from the TATORT-series shows in an exciting and timeless way a society that is in a permanent state of exception - and a world in which many people are under general suspicion of the political system, science, media and justice...

Written and directed by Rupert Henning
Cast Adele Neuhauser, Julia Edtmeier, Theresa Martini, Christina Scherrer, Julia Windischbauer, Günter Franzmeier, Hubert Kramar, Harald Krassnitzer, Gerald Votava, Dominik Warta and many more

A production by WHee Film and Rundfilm for ORF and ARD
